There's really not anything I can say that hasn't probably been said...but you are so talented and capture expression so well. I get hypnotized looking at your pieces. I just started drawing about 3 1/2 months ago. I've painted for awhile but have never tried drawing at all before. I have finished about 11 pieces since I started, and what can I say, other than I feel like I'm in the middle of a love affair right now. lol! It has definitely awaken a passion in me, for sure. I read the info packed paragraph you wrote to 'cutesky' and appreciate your generosity in sharing all the info. I think I'm doing okay, but tend to be a bit heavy handed and inpatient, I think, but I sure am having fun! Anyway...many blessing to you!!! eace:
A Major goal of mine is to draw just like this.. oh how i wish i was much closer to this level, this is perfection, i admire the dedication to detail & hard work anyone could clearly see in your work, any advice for me an my gallery?
hmmm ok, try mars lumograph by staedtler in germany. you'll most likely have to buy them on eBay as most art stores won't stock them for some reason, and if they do they charge like $3 for one pencil.......... I use only HB, 6B & 8B leads...........HB blends so easily that it goes great over the top of 6B to give a softer smoother blend. 8B is a black lead (black as charcoal but not ass messy) For blending I use those cotton wool makeup removal pads that you girls use......... they are cheap & come in packs of 100 so are fantastic, try these & you will give the tissues the arse then you need to get yourself an eraser stik (spelt correctly) you can find them on eBay. these erasers cut through the graphite even black lead but struggle with with powders. for powders use blue tack for picking out details...........
hey thanks Gee, portraits are my most favourite thing to draw, it is such a buzz to capture the character of the person in the drawing............. doesn't always go that way lol, but when it does, woohoo
hey thanks Cee, I thought maybe you didn't like Gerard lol.......... hey you are amazing at painting eyes though............. have you thought of making some step by step tutorials? I'd find it very interesting as others would to I'm sure!!
I will send it in a note well it is only fair, i missed gerard, you missed my tut but it served to show people i am an honest painter, not a fraught who put filters on pictures lol going to fetch it for you honey
